Since google maps is A. in beta, and B. not technically “open” to third-party developers via an approved API, there are bound to be bumps in the road when your code depends on their internal libraries.

Sometime within the last week, Google appears to have upgraded maps.js, their Javascript mapping library, to a new version, breaking (my Detroit Google Map and other people’s) old code that depended on maps.js.

Time to scramble and catch up.
